This was the funnest week ever! My mom and her good friend Kim came for a surprise visit and it was a blast! They got to spend the week and Easter with us, it was so great having mom's here for Easter! We did so many fun things and I'm so happy they came. I love you mom, your the best!! Kim was so cute and so funny and we were all happy to get to know her. Thanks for coming you two we love you and miss you already!

So we haven't blogged in awhile and I'm not so good at the writing part. I just like the pictures. But we have done some fun things lately! Jill has left us.. we are sad about that. We had a going away party for her and some delicious dinner. Life is not the same without her here. We had a big bbq party at Kahana bay with the Evans, a family we babysit. It was super fun! That night we went to the West side of the Island and went camping. It is kind of sketchy over there for the white people so we went out in the middle of nowhere. We had a fire, the boys caught us some crab and fish for dinner that we cooked, and we made a sauna at the beach... yes a sauna! We woke up in the morning to about a hundred dolphins swimming about 50 yards out in front of us just hanging out and showing off flipping around. There were also two whales out further jumping out of the water slappin their tails. It was amazing!! Only in Hawaii right. Mckalls mom also came out with her friend Kim and surprised us on Monday to stay for Easter! It is so nice to have a little piece of home and have motherly figures around. Katie leaves us tomorrow to go home over Easter weekend and I am missin the fam like crazy. A month left here in paradise. Until the adventures continue....

Kassidy here...

Well I had the chance to have my mom and Kels come out this past week to visit. They became part of our little Hawaii family!! It was so good to have a little piece of home here, although when they left I think it made me more homesick then I have been so far. We had a lot of fun though! They didn't always get the best weather, and we did a lot of driving, but that just meant for more bonding time in the car! We enjoyed tons and tons of treats and eating out.. I think I gained a good 5 pounds this week.. but it was well worth it! My mom took such good care of all of us here, she always does. I have the best mom ever! I miss you guys already and am so glad that you came to stay with us in our little home here. I will miss hanging out the window acting handicapped with you kelsie, mom I will miss spooning with you on your bed, and getting lost a million times in the car with you. Brooke, it wasnt a complete girl trip without you, we need to do another one soon with all of us! And to the rest of my family, I miss you all and Hawaii isn't complete without you here with me. I am so grateful to have my most amazing family ever! Kels keep Marlie in until I get home... I love you all!!!!

I am new at this blogging thing (kassidy here) so i had to create a whole new post just to explain the pictures. So this week we had a few adventures and these are pictures of them all. Start at the bottom and work your way up so that they actually make sense! We went to stairway to heaven one night, and it is off limits, so to avoid security we started the hike at 3 in the morning. It was by far the coolest thing we have done since we have been here. For those of you who don't know, stairway is exactly what is sounds like. About four thousand metal steps up the top to the tip of a mountain. Cliffs on either side of you. Its a good 3 hundred years old so it is off limits because it is kinda dangerous. But four thousand steps took a toll on our bodies, and we are still tired two days later. We were planning on watching the sunrise up top but it turned out to be a cloudy morning and so the pictures turned out a little dark. But it was quite the experience. Still livin the dream here! we love you all and miss you

So we made it safe and sound and things are absolutely swell! WE LOVE IT! Not to mention so many great things have happened and can I just say I love nice people! And there are so many here! So we arrived last friday hoping to catch the bus to our condo but unfortunately the bus would not let us on because of our luggage and we didn't really have any other options so we were kinda stranded at the airport. We had absolutely no idea what to do and for a second were a little worried. Then our amazingly kind landlord, Vicki, offered to come pick us up and take us to the condo. Seriously she is the best and sweetest landlord EVER!!! We love her! She took us to our new home and it is so great! Its super nice and we couldn't have picked a better place. And did I mention the beach is literally our side yard? It is fabulous! its like 10 feet from our back patio and its a really nice beach. We are so lucky!
We've done some awesome things so far like learning how to surf which is so fun! We all got up, some longer than others but hey it was great! We went hiking in the most BEAUTIFUL, green, plush mountains and got a few bug bites but it was so worth it! We are trying to find jobs at the moment and its a little difficult but we've learned that being persistant is key. Jill applied to subway today, and Kass and I (mckall) are going to apply there tomorrow and also mcdonalds so wish us luck! haha everything has been going so well and we are loving every minute! We are currently trying to figure out our internet situation and as soon as we do we will upload some pictures! I highly recommend a spontaneous trip/move to Hawaii for everyone, its so wonderful!!!

So our travels begin...

Today has been quite the adventure! It started out early this morning around 7:00 am and there has not been a dull moment since. To start the day off mckall's ginormous suitcase wheel breaks off before we even get to the airport. So mckall is just dragging it along... as the material is slowly tearing. By the time we actually get to Hawaii there is sure to be a hole with clothes falling out of it. Not to mention she has too many suitcases to pull so they are "attatched" to eachother! our hands are getting quite the blisters haha...no but seriously. Getting to vegas was easy but now we are stuck in the airport until check in at 12 am... and we fly out at 2. Talk about a long day. Being poor rocks... our lunch consisted of half of a pb and j that we ripped down the middle, and some cookies mother Rob made. WE ARE STARVING! We made some friends... mothers trying to take care of us here on the subway at the vegas airport. They got our numbers in case of an emergency, don't really know what kind of emergency can happen at the aiport but we were grateful. We are thrilled with the Hawaiin Airlines friendly willingness to help us store our luggage. Hence the picture!! We are in our own little corner of the airport, making a bed on top of our luggage. Although it sounds like we are complaining, our abs are sore from laughing so hard today at all of the crazy things that have happened! We are looking forward to the day Jill and Katie make it here with us and we are actually settled on the beach. only 24 more hours to go... but whos counting? Over and out.
